Finn cleared the last of the dishes from the dinner rush and carted them into the kitchen for Tandy, laughing when she asked if he'd been demoted to busser.
That chore done, he headed back into the bar to do a walk around, checking with those in the game room and those at the tables and booths scattered around the bar area. He joked with a few of the regulars and greeted the faces he couldn't remember seeing before taking his position behind the bar again.
Leaning against the back counter, he surveyed his pub and couldn't help the smile that formed. For as much flak as he'd received from his family over his choosing such a small town when he finally struck out on his own, he really did love the town. The atmosphere was open, accepting, and the sheer fact that he could use his abilities without causing the National Enquirer to drop onto his head made it perfect.
He looked up when the door opened and called out a welcome to the newcomer.
"Welcome to the Pub."

"But then who would run the bar? The place would go to ruin over my decaying corpse and you'd be left without your favorite bartender to torment. Then those brief hours of pleasure would be all you'd have left and you'd waste away from missing me."
Finn said it all while drawing pints and serving drinks, grinning through it all.

"You make a really good point, perhaps I'll only give you a sample. Not enough to kill you, just enough to really-" Keira snagged his shirt, bringing him to a stop as he went past the bar again. Leaning forward, she tugged him closer as she brushed her mouth against his ear lobe. "-truly ruin you. What do you say Finn?"
no subject
Finn turned his head so his lips were right next to her ear. "I think you ruined me a long time ago, gorgeous," he whispered before stepping back to move along the bar to the other side

"Flatterer," Keira replied, standing up and grinning before pressing a kiss against his cheek. Mock saluting him, she blew him a kiss as he slipped round the other side. "And just for that I'm going to leave you wanting. Like always. Plus, any more and you'll be rolling me into a cab."
no subject
"You know I have the cab company on speed dial," Finn reminded her, and kept his mouth firm shut on the offer of his bed should she need to sleep off the worst of the drink. The last, the very last thing he needed was her scent all over his pillows and sheets. She was hard enough to get out of his mind. "And I'd promise to be gentle when I roll you into it."
no subject
"Oh I know but do you know how freaking small this town is? That would be such a waste for me to get a cab to my place, you could always gently roll me into your bed instead." Keira replied grinning wickedly at him as she finished her last mouthful of beer. Tossing a pretzel into her mouth, she pulled her jacket on and straightened up. "You're so easy to tease."

Finn clasped his hand to his chest and affected a mock bow. "I am to serve, dear lady," he told her with a wink. "I'll add tonight's take onto your tab, okay?"
no subject
"Mmm, or I could settle up by slipping some money in your pocket. Front or back?" Keira replied with a grin, taking out her wallet and raising an eyebrow at him.
no subject
"I'd never survive it with my dignity intact," Finn grinned back and held out his hand instead.
no subject
"Shame," Keira replied, before pressing the money into the palm of his hand. Blowing him a kiss, she laughed and turned to head out.
