BACKGROUND & HISTORY: Finn's great-grandparents came over from Ireland and landed in Boston, started a pub in Southie for the other Irish immigrants and made a success of it - a very big success that branched out into a franchised chain of restaurants/bars across most of the country. Each generation, upon graduating from college, has been given their own start up money if they want to follow in the family business, either a franchise or their own endeavor. Some have, some haven't and there's no stigma or pressure if a family member chooses their own path over the family business.

Finn practically grew up in bars - first the one his parents ran, then his older brother's. He always knew it was what he wanted, the only place he felt right. He went to college, majored in restaurant management, then continued working in his brother's restaurant after graduation. He stayed there for a few years until he took a trip to Ireland with friends. He fell in love with the pubs there, the small town family atmosphere feel to them. That's when he knew what he wanted.

When he came home, Finn spent a few years scouting locations and loved the feel of Siren Cove from the moment he arrived. Just like the pubs in Ireland, he knew he'd found where he was meant to be. It took a little over eighteen months to get everything settled financially as well as renovating the building and apartment above. Finn's Pub has been in operation for six months and is enjoying a first year in the black.

Fin has two older brothers and one younger sister, and about a hundred cousins. The Finnegans are a prolific Irish Catholic family.


PERSONALITY: Finn is an easy-going sort. He's tall, and lean, but don't mistake him for weak. He acts as his own bouncer and a black belt in tae kwon do helps to that end. While studying martial arts, he added Tai Chi into his regime and that helps with his zen attitude towards life. Finn isn't all peace and tranquility, though. He's still got the Irish side and when he gets angry, it can be explosive. Literally. If he loses his cool, things around him will fly off shelves and chairs/tables will move away from him. Thankfully, it takes a lot to get him to that state.

Finn knows he wants the same kind of permanence his family has found with their partners, but knows also that he's not in any rush to find that.


OPINION OF THE RIVALRY: He's Irish enough to understand family grudges, but if and when he finds out about it, he probably won't focus on it much unless it affects him or those he cares about.

LIFESTYLE: Finn pretty much lives and breathes his pub right now, and that's fine with him. Working there gives him all the social interaction he needs

He's close with his family and goes home to Boston whenever he can - usually once a month for Sunday dinner (he tells his mother that he goes to Mass every Sunday, but that's more an occasional thing since he's usually up until 3am closing the pub.)

When the weather's nice, he'll do tai chi on the beach, but he's not a glutton for cold, so unless it's seasonable, he does his practice in his loft.

POWERS & ABILITIES: Finn comes from a long line of telekinetics. The family don't consider themselves witches, just that they have an ability that's passed down genetically like brown hair or a family birthmark. All of the Finnegans have it to some degree, some can only move small things, some can make beds/slam doors with only their minds. Those with the strongest abilities tend to have secondary ones - mind reading, empathy, healing - and as Finn is one of the stronger ones, he does as well. He can see the dead if they want to be seen. A lifetime of dealing with this has taught him control and he has to open himself to interact with them. Because of this, the dead don't crowd him as they once did, but his grandfather is usually around nearby, especially when Finn's alone. Anyone catching him at the pub by himself, may find them carrying on a conversation.
